Maranta leuconeura - Prayer plant

Known as the prayer plant for its remarkable ability to fold its leaves upright at night or in cold temperatures, these striking plants are the perfect pop of colour and pattern for those dark spaces. Maranta are native to the Amazon rainforest, where they thrive in the shaded undergrowth. Provide plenty of humidity for your prayer plant, and water with rainwater when the top inch of soil has dried out.
