Opuntia Cactus

The Cactus family is large, varied and almost exclusively native to the Americas, with only one species found naturally outside the continent (Rhipsalis baccifera typically known as the mistletoe cactus). These desert-dwellers often go dormant in our British winters, requiring no water at all between November and March. Provide as much sunlight as possible year-round, and water very sparingly only in summer.
